To set up direct deposit, you'll typically need:
Setting up or switching a direct deposit requires that you provide a simple form to your employer, or to the agency making the deposit.
You'll be provided this form when you open your account at any bank branch, or you can access it when you open your account online.
Once your employer (or Social Security or another agency) receives this form, they can set up your paycheck (or your Social Security, pension, retirement, or other payment) to be deposited directly into your Bell checking account.
Plan to keep your "old" account open for 6 to 8 weeks to make sure your direct deposit has switched to your Bell account. Depending on how often you're paid (biweekly or monthly) and when you opened your account, it may take some time for the direct deposit to switch over.
