Bell Mortgage Founder Inducted into the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame

David C. Bell, 1916

David C. Bell, the original founder of Bell Mortgage (a division of Bell State Bank & Trust since 2011), has been inducted into the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame. Bell was selected by a group of professionals from within the real estate industry as a person who has made an outstanding contribution in real estate and in the community in general.

An early Minneapolis civic leader, Bell founded Bell Mortgage in 1880. The business Bell began not only employed numerous Minnesotans, it also brought a significant amount of money and development into the area. Perhaps that is why Mr. Bell is referred to not only as an entrepreneur, but also as one of the Twin Cities’ founding fathers. His respected company, now a division of Bell State Bank & Trust, has more than half a million family mortgages to its name. Learn more about Bell’s story by watching this video biography.

The hall of fame members are displayed at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas, in Minneapolis, Minn. Please join us in congratulating the entire team at Bell Mortgage and Bell State Bank & Trust on David C. Bell’s Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame induction!
