Nielsen Achieves Trust Certification
Vikki Nielsen, a vice president and trust officer in the Wealth Management Division of Bell State Bank & Trust in Fargo, has achieved designation as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), following a rigorous course of study and examinations.
The CTFA designation is becoming the “gold standard” for ensuring fiduciary expertise in wealth management and trust officers. It requires a minimum of three years of experience in wealth management as well as the completion of an approved training program, a letter of recommendation and a commitment to ethical practices. Those seeking to become CTFAs must also pass a comprehensive exam with topics including fiduciary responsibilities, trust activities, personal finance, ethics, insurance planning, estate planning and tax and investment management.
This designation means Nielsen meets a recognized standard of knowledge and competence in the trust and wealth advisory field.
Nielsen is a native of Kindred, N.D., and a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been in the banking field for 20 years, working previously at Bell State Bank & Trust and then as a manager of Wells Fargo’s Barnesville location. She lives in Barnesville.
