Bell State Bank & Trust Now Open in Inaugural Twin Cities Location
Bell State Bank & Trust’s first banking location serving the Twin Cities metro area is officially open today. Bell State Bank & Trust, a Fargo, N.D.-based lender with over $2 billion in assets, is open in The Colonnade, 5500 Wayzata Boulevard, near the intersection of I-394 and Highway 100 in Golden Valley.
“People have been very receptive to a bank that delivers the high-touch customer service of a smaller community bank, but has the strong balance sheet and deeper capabilities typically found only at larger banks,” said Todd Lee, Executive Vice President and Twin Cities Market Director for Bell State Bank & Trust. “We have hired a great team of Twin Cities’ bankers and have received tremendous support from throughout the company.”
Chartered in Fargo, N.D., in 1966, Bell State Bank & Trust is the largest independent bank in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, with more than 720 employees and assets totaling more than $2 billion. The company also has more than $3 billion in assets under management through its Wealth Management Division. Last year, Bell State Bank & Trust purchased Bell Mortgage, a 130-year-old mortgage company with 28 Twin Cities’ locations.
Bell State Bank & Trust was named one of Minnesota’s “Top 100 Workplaces” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2011 and was a finalist for the Integrity Award given by the Better Business Bureau of North Dakota and Minnesota.
