Use Popmoney Person-to-Person Payments to Pay Anyone Without Using Cash or Checks

  1. Sign in to Personal Online Banking.
  2. Click on the Payments tab.
  3. Click on Popmoney®.
  4. Start sending money from your bank account to anyone you owe or know. All you need is their cell phone number or email address.

Popmoney® is one of the free, new features in our new and improved Personal Online Banking System. It’s is a new simple, convenient and secure way to send and receive money. With Popmoney, you can “Pay Other People” anytime, anywhere. All you need is their name and email address or mobile number to move money from your bank account to theirs.

With Popmoney Person-to-Person Payments you can:

  • Send money to your children in college
  • Pay your friends the money you owe them from eating dinner out
  • Chip in for a gift with several people

Popmoney is much easier than digging around for a checkbook, cash or searching for an envelope and stamps.

Popmoney Person-to-Person Payments Frequently Asked Questions:

When using Popmoney, when is the money taken from my account and when does the recipient receive the funds?

Money is removed from the sender’s account the next business day and the majority of all Popmoney payments transactions are processed the next business day.

What happens if the recipient does not claim the money?

If the money is not claimed in 10 days, the payment is cancelled and the money is returned to your account.

Are there any minimum and maximum Popmoney payment amounts?

Yes. The minimum amount you can make a payment for is $5. The maximum amount is $500 for the next day transfer. Higher limits are available for 3-day transfers.

Where can someone send Popmoney payments to?

Popmoney payments can be sent to any personal payee within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, but not the U.S. territories.

    In Personal Banking, when I click on the Payments tab – POP Money is not one of the options.

    Karen, thank you for your comment. After you log into Personal Online Banking and click on the “Payments” tab, you will see a row of boxes below where you can find the “Popmoney” link. If you have not used our Bill Payment service before, after you click on the “Payments” tab, you will see a page assisting you with setting up Bill Payments. Scroll to the bottom, and click on “What else can I do?” You can choose Popmoney. If you need additional assistance, or have any other questions, please feel free to call our online banking support at 800-450-1529.

    I was wondering is popmoney completely free? Or is there a fee for next-day service? thanks!
